Day 1
Transfer from the Airport to hotel of choice. Half day visit to the Iguassu falls, Brazilian side, where it is possible to have a magnificent panoramic view of the entire falls. Free afternoon. Night at the hotel.
Day 2
Full day excursion to the Iguassu falls - Argentinean side, visiting the upper and lower trails making an extended walk, watching majestic and impressive waterfalls immersed in the jungle. Arriving after a 1km trek to the majestic Devil´s throat, a singular experience, where the refreshing mist caused by the force of the water will leave you impressed. Night at the hotel.
Day 3
Transfer by 4x4 to the Iberá wetlands – Irupé Lodge, during the way it is possible to visit a semi – precious stone mine, where you will find quartz, amethyst, agate and topaz crystals among others, a Yerba Mate factory(national drink), where you will see the elaboration process of this plant or the Jesuit Missions of San Ignacio. Lunch on the way (not included). 6 pm approx arrival time at the Lodge. Relax, dinner and night at the Lodge.
Day 4
Morning visit to the Iberá nature reserve centre. Guided walk through the park museum and the surrounding jungles observing howler monkeys, capybaras, swamp deer, forest birds, etc... With park ranger guide. Lunch. Free afternoon to relax; take a kayak ride or an optional activity. Night boat safari, where you will get a demonstration of the variety of the swamp’s strange sounds while observing the night active animals. One of the most fascinating things are the gleaming eyes of the caimans in the dark, you might even see them hunting. Dinner and night at the Lodge.
Day 5
Full day trek or horse ride visiting the gauchos and their families 50 km away from Colonia Carlos Pellegrini, far away from paved routes, electricity and cell phones...The day in the Uguay countryside forms part of a cultural- social project to integrate families that live far away from the touristic Colonia Carlos Pellegrini. Authentic lunch in a gauchos home with the family. Besides this cultural experience you can observe wildlife of the “pampa humeda” such as ostriches, owls, vizcachas, skunks, snakes and pampas birds. Dinner and night at Irupé lodge.
Day 6
Boat safari into different areas of the Iberá swamp. You’ll experience an incredible amount of wildlife such as alligators, capybaras, swamp deer, giant otters, birds etc Lunch. Private transfer by 4x4 to posadas. End of our services.
